Wontomi was jailed for politically motivated reasons. Wontomi is a political prisoner because his sentence is NOT proportionate to his administrative error. Extremely hard to take it

■ Akonta Mining Company in Samreboi in the Western Region was prosecuted for allowing Ghanaian nationals to do illegal mining in its mining concession.
● Wontumi the Owner/Director was imprisoned 20 years hard labour.
● The actual Ghanaian illegal miners are walking freely.
■ Adamus Resources in the Ellembelle district in the Western Region allowed Chinese nationals to do illegal mining in its mining concession.
● The NDC government revoked its mining leases permanently.
● The Owners/ Directors are walking freely.
