20 years ago galamsey was pan and pick axe digging. Until the Mahamas hijacked Ghana and started importing shipload upon shipload into the country, the problem was manageable. Today, you can’t bypass Ibrahim Mahama if you need equipment and the papers to do galamsey. Tell me one borehole or waste recycling facility he engineered and planned. Tell me one feeder road project he’s done. Asantehene, Okyehene, Sahwi, Wassa, Fante, Awutu, Assin Chiefs are all involved. If John Mahama himself is presiding over galamsey with his Brother, who feels guilty polluting our rivers? Most of the top politicians in Ghana are doing it.
