  Commonwealth record for the 50-meter freestyle is 20.88 seconds, set by Australian swimmer Cameron McEvoy at the China Open. The women's Commonwealth record for the 50-meter freestyle is 23.78 seconds, set by Australian swimmer Cate Campbell in 2018.
