Meanwhile Wontumi has been jailed not for doing galamsey but for making an attempt at reclaiming his already mined out area. Can anyone go to China and do what the Chinese do here in Ghana? Just travel along the Kumasi-Tarkwa road and see what's going on. Warehouse filled with galamsey enabling good, from heavy duty pumps, hoses, pipes, generators, chamfines, excavators, heavy duty tools, diesel, Chinese-made pickups, etc. The police and local authorities drive pass them every minute and yet no arrests are made. Ain't we a bunch of hypocrites, pretenders, self seeking individuals who only care about how money comes into our pockets? This is why I believe Wontumi was jailed to please the Mahamas.
