He, Tsatsu Tsikata & Dormaahene strongly warned President Mahama not to declare a State of Emergency in attacking Galamsey in 2025. He felt taking that decision would make NDC unpopular and here we come thinking Ghanaians have short memory pretending he cares. To him there's no Galamsey in Volta region so he care less about it effects on Ghana.

It's a shame and a tragedy that, Mahama, after almost two years in office, galamsey is still alive and thriving. Politicians, soldiers, the police and traditional rulers are all involved in this criminal activity and that is why it is still going on. Galamsey has moved from the forest zones into our towns. Typical example is the Konongo-Odumasi municipality. Galamsey activity is all over the two townships. There are two traditional rulers in the area. There is a police commissioner in town. THere is the MCA, the MP and other powers that be to stop the destruction of the area. Unfortunately, because of what these supposedly responsible people are getting from galamsey, no one cares. With the power and influence of the Asantehene, I think it's time for the King to declare a no go zone for galamsayers in the Ashanti region, and to destool any chief who allows galamsey to happen in their community.
