A commercial driver allegedly pulled a cutlass during a dispute with a loading boy over transport fares at Ashaiman Atadeka, causing panic among commuters and bystanders.

In a video shared on X on July 29, 2026, an eyewitness said the confrontation started after the driver insisted that all passengers in his vehicle should pay GH¢5.00, regardless of their destination.

The loading boy objected, arguing that not everyone was travelling to Manso, and asked the passengers to alight.

The disagreement quickly escalated into a heated exchange before the driver allegedly retrieved a cutlass from his vehicle and advanced towards the boy.

"The guys around quickly intervened and took the cutlass from him before anything could happen," the eyewitness said.

Though the video did not capture the exact moment the driver pulled the cutlass, some youth wielding sticks and planks of wood could be seen engaged in a fierce fight.

No injuries were reported, and it remains unclear whether the incident has been reported to the police.
