I suspect this is a possible mechanism of theft; stealing from public assets by targeting some percentage cut behind closed doors. Corrupt leaders with political appointments are the real criminals in authority whose decisions and actions risk society and reduces the lives of innocent people by poverty created by selfishness and greed. This is why political appointments must be abolished and every to government official must be elected by votes. If most MPs are honest and not corrupt, wicked or ignorant or cowards, they will start taking steps to help abolish the practice of political appointments by amending the constitution with no excuses. Yes, just like Efo Julor John Rawlings who earlier aligned himself with his Murderous Murderer Gaddaffi and sent his Children to Universities in the United Kingdom even for Medical Education. Who paid for their education? He lied to Ghanaians that his friends paid but was never able to tell Ghanaians who was that friend. How many Ghanaians, especially during the PNDC/ NDC/ NPP sent their Children to Universities in the West when Ghanaian Universities were starving and had to take unavailable Students Loans to attend to universities in Ghana? Has Rawlings’ daughter Nyaniba ever been in the Consulting Room at any Hospital in Ghana since she graduated from the University of London School of Medicine with Ghana’s stolen money? I am very glad Rawlings was abandoned by his PNDC/NDC Criminal colleagues and he died lonely after a Covid attack. My Grandmother never had the opportunities that Rawlings had in life.
