  Why not transform Asuansi Farmers Institute into Agricultural university, the school exist since over 75 years,and no government thinks of any transformaction for the school.

  The upgrade of the Ohawu agricultural college to a University status is long overdue and this decision is good idea . Students at the Ohawu agricultural college are admitted after completing SHS and passing their exams but are admitted to complete a further two years at Ohawu only to be awarded a certificate upon completion. This is unfair to these students. Awarding them a diploma after their graduation is compatible with their level of education. The education system in Ghana needs a complete overhaul. A two years of education after SHS does not merit a certificate. It must be a diploma or an Associate degree but not a certificate.
