If this Prof was living in Ghana he would have known that even assembly men are even voted on party lines. Political parties sponsor their own candidates to compete even at that level. We'll only be deceiving ourselves thinking that electing MMDCEs on party lines hinder development. In fact it will take the winner takes all away and promote accountability.

I support you but the parties will still find a way to.destroy that by sponsoring their people to compete. This will make the MPs more accountable to their constituents than a political party they support.

We already know the parties sponsor candidates for assembly men and women elections although they are strictly non partisan.

Encourage people to go and listen in to assemble meetings and contribute than doing this expensive chair changing nonsense.

Now the NDC has gone back to the NPP position. The president will nominate some candidates and then they will be voted for. Please, we the people of Ghana don't want that. We want the elections at the district assemblies to be apolitical, no NDC, no NPP. Ghanaians want real developments at the district level and political parties using appointments at the assemblies as reward for party members and families.
