I come to Ghana twice a year and each time I am leaving Ghana Immigration Officials directly ask me for cash. They take your passport and then tell you to give them something. Even though they are not forcing you to hand over cash to them, it’s the imbalance of power at that point that makes me reluctantly hand them cash. The security search team also ask for cash after your bags go through the security machine. They are all persistent beggars there
