You’re lucky. Like US, Canada don’t renew and see
Very good initiative by CUTS. Our society is too chaotic and lawless. DVLA can not just decide to charge motorists without any legal backing. They should operate under a legal framework.
The fees will deter drivers from thinking they can avoid renewal fees or save money by renewing late. A driver must always carry a valid unexpired license. Good job DVLA.
What about those of us who are outside the country? We can’t renew it when it expires, unless we come back home
