THERE IS NOTHING SHADY ABOUT SETTING UP A DIRECT DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS TO FACILITATE WORKERS RECEIVING THEIR SALARIES DIRECTLY FROM THE BANK INSTEAD OF PAYSTUBS AND PAYCHECKS!

GHANAIANS SHOULD IGNORE ABLAKWA’S BRAVADO, WHY WON’T THEY PROSECUTE THE PEOPLE INVOLVED? IT LAYS BARE THEIR ATTEMPTS TO EQUALIZE THE AKSA BRIBERY SCHEMES THAT HAS EXPOSED THE MAHAMA BROTHERS!

THE UNITED STATES WAS IN TOTAL LOCKDOWN FROM 2020-2022. BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19. SO THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE FOR THE ENTIRE USA WAS BY HIRING A MORE COSTLY DELIVERY SERVICES FOR ANY SERVICES EVEN INCLUDING FOOD DELIVERY!

I just did some checks and found out that the delivery services at the Ghana Mission in New York was applied during the COVID-19 lockdown periods. These changes became necessary and had to be applied during and after the COVID-19 lockdown period in the USA!

Okusekanka Ablakwa’s accusations are empty. Only people like myself who live in for decades can squarely expose his stupidity, naivety and political shenanigans. He is talking about the time of the COVID-19 period. Of course before the COVID-19 period ( 2020-2022) -24 there wasn’t any home delivery for the visa applications at the Ghana Embassy in New York as far as I’m aware.

The embassy adopted those policies to help prevent the dangers of exposing visa applicants to the dreaded COVID 19 virus. The entire United States were in total lockdown and so it became imperative that visa applicants all over the country had to abide by the almost one year lockdown period rules. Even most workers and businesses all over America stayed home during the long lockdown periods except healthcare providers and delivery drivers and riders .

And I as far as I know being a decades long New Yorker delivery services became very scarce to get. Because the government of United States was offering incentives to people who were affected by the lockdowns. People were paid unemployment benefits and other benefits. To me that Hajia Alima must have been very efficient in getting delivery companies to effectively deliver people’s passports and other visa documents to applicants homes. Oh NDC ——- ?
It tells you how far the NDC can go to twist facts for political gains.

“GoldBod CEO Sammy Gyamfi disclosed the development on August 11, saying the institution stopped receiving funding from the central bank in March 2026 and has since moved to a self-funded model.
Under the new arrangement, GoldBod raises financing directly from commercial banks and gold offtakers to purchase and aggregate gold for export and reserve accumulation.

The arrangement dates back to Ghana’s Domestic Gold Purchase Programme (DGPP), established by the Bank of Ghana to increase its gold reserves by purchasing gold produced domestically Before GoldBod was created, the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) served as the central bank’s buying agent under the programme. GoldBod inherited that role when it was established in April 2025, continuing to purchase and aggregate gold with funding provided by the Bank of Ghana.
According to GoldBod, the central bank also covered the costs associated with gold aggregation under the arrangement.
That model has now ended.

GoldBod said its transition to direct financing is intended to strengthen its operational independence while allowing it to continue mobilising substantial volumes of gold for exports and reserve accumulation.

“The shift marks a major step towards GoldBod’s operational and financial independence,” the institution said in its statement.
The move also changes the relationship between GoldBod and the Bank of Ghana, with the gold authority now taking greater responsibility for financing its core purchasing activities.

Gyamfi said the new financing model has already produced positive results, with GoldBod able to raise funds from commercial banks and offtakers without relying on direct financing from the central bank.
The development comes as Ghana seeks to maximise the economic value of its position as Africa’s largest gold producer, particularly by using locally produced gold to support foreign-exchange generation and reserve accumulation.

GoldBod said the self-funded model will allow it to operate more independently while maintaining its gold aggregation activities.
The change does not mean Ghana is abandoning its domestic gold purchase strategy. Instead, the country is separating the purchase and aggregation of gold from the financing and management of its monetary reserves”.

Was this money actually coming from the US government, or was it Ghanaian government/Embassy money? If it was an established benefit, why not show the official policy or documentation that created and authorised it?

You cannot simply call a payment a “child benefit” and expect Ghanaians not to ask questions about its legal basis, approval and source of funding. Transparency is what will clear your name—not explanations without supporting evidence.

Some of these nonsense can never wash with people like myself who have lived in the US for almost my entire adult life. Diplomas and workers of diplomatic missions have special emoluments that covers their entire family expenses, and these emoluments are calculated based on the cost of living expenses in a given country, it’s widespread and not limited to Ghanaian diplomatic missions alone. Do some facts checks about the issue.
