Given the fact that only GoldBod is mandated to buy gold from the small scale mining sector and also with the assurance from officialdom that gold smuggling has been curbed by the GoldBod monitoring squad.
In view of the above facts , people like Dr Ashigbey, should by now be asking one obvious question - WHO IS BUYING ALL THE GOLD FROM THE SMALL SCALE MINING SECTOR, LEGAL OR ILLEGAL SECTORS?
For the simple reason that GALAMSEY is still going on and has actually intensified in some instances.
