Watch as driver slaps police officer during dispute

A man believed to be a driver has been captured in a viral video allegedly slapping a police officer during a confrontation in public.

In the video, the officer, who is reportedly attached to the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, is seen engaged in a heated exchange with the driver.

The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation after the driver appeared to lose his temper and slapped the officer.

The officer subsequently retaliated, resulting in a brief physical altercation between the two men.

The driver was heard warning that he would not leave the vehicle for the police officers, saying, “If I don’t take care, I won’t leave the car for you guys,” before allegedly slapping the officer.

Some passersby intervened in an attempt to calm the situation and prevent the confrontation from escalating further.

The circumstances that led to the dispute remain unclear.

The video, which has been circulating on social media, was accompanied by a caption “The disrespect is honestly too much! A driver was seen confronting an MTTD officer and even slapping him. Whatever the issue was, putting hands on an officer is way out of line.”
