No, Ghana Telecom was not sold to Malaysia.

Instead, in 1996 and 1997, the Government of Ghana sold a minority 30% stake in Ghana Telecom to Telekom Malaysia, which also took over management of the company. The majority stake remained with the Ghanaian.
Kufuor first gave this stake to the Norwegians who came and further run it down in a year.
At least, he quicky kicked them out and sold it to Vodafone.

Yes, NDC sold part of Asante Goldfields but Kufuor did the final damage.

The man had no interest in growing wealth for the state.
It had to be wealth for their cronies.
