Even though the Methodist Church has been in Ghana for the longest time, what are their achievements in Ghana from January 2025 to August 2026 as compared to that of the current govt within the same time frame? As a silent and discreet accessory of the diabolical performance of Akuffo Addos 8 years in govt, I would refrain from demanding results from govt if I were the head of the Methodist church. Let Truth, Not Party Loyalty, Be the Measure
With respect, Reverend, if the previous government was bad, say it plainly. If it did some things well, say that too. And if the present administration is performing well, give it credit without fear of being labelled an “NDC pastor.”
You rightly said, “If we liked what we saw, we wouldn’t have voted them out.” Exactly. Ghanaians voted the NPP out because they were dissatisfied with its performance. Let us not play with words about that.
But honesty must work both ways. Ghana inherited a deeply troubled economy—high inflation, debt distress, restructuring and an IMF programme. You cannot realistically expect eight years of accumulated problems to be completely repaired in less than two years. That does not mean the current government should escape scrutiny; it means we should judge it fairly by the progress it is making and the problems it is yet to solve.
And there are things to acknowledge. The IMF reports strong economic growth, a dramatic fall in inflation, improved reserves, stronger fiscal performance and significant progress on debt sustainability. Those are achievements, whether one supports the NDC or not. At the same time, if the government fails, say so. Don't defend failure simply because it is “your side. The Church should be above partisan propaganda. A minister of God should not be afraid of being called NDC or NPP simply because he speaks the truth. Scripture teaches us to reject false witness and pursue truth and justice.
So, Reverend, please go straight to the point:
If NPP failed, say NPP failed.
If NDC is succeeding, say NDC is succeeding.
If NDC is failing, say NDC is failing.
If either party did something good, acknowledge it.
Truth has no party card.
Ghanaians don't need pastors who speak for political parties. They need pastors who speak truth to political power—whichever party is in government.
That is not partisan politics. That is integrity.

Your so called Cedi stabilization is a hoax and ephemeral ( short lived). Even NDC didn’t start the program of shoring up the Cedi against the dollar. The NPP started it with cost effective measures, though the government didn’t start it until some few months to the 2024 elections that partly explain why Ghanaians didn’t feel the impact and one of the reasons the incumbent government lost the 2024 elections. Despite the fact that NPP didn’t win the elections to let Ghanaians appreciate the measures the NDC has also blown it because they didn’t know how to prudently continue with program. Thus the reason why the Mahama administration pumped more $ 10 billion to stabilize our currency and still not making any tangible progress. Living conditions of Ghanaians have not improved significantly so as the prices of goods skyrocketed. So what has Mahama achieved so far in office?

I solidly believe that our Security Recruits can be used to help build Schools, Roads, Places of Convenience in various towns, cities and metropolitan areas.
We have a number of Soldiers, Police, and their recruits and Personnel at the Barracks doing basically nothing but just walking around in nicely Polished Uniforms. Can't they be used to patrol our roads and cities and fight off Illegal Immigrants, especially Nigerian criminals who are tormenting Ghanaians.
Why can't we have our numerous Soldiers patrolling the streets of our towns and cities and ensure that nobody is allowed to sleep in fronts of shops, stores, and kiosks. There should be a Local and Community Police to ensure that Houses and Rooms are not rented to Illegal Immigrants. Owners who rent places to Illegals should have such properties confiscated and given to Police, Fire Department and Personnel, Teachers, Nurses etc. Let make our communities inhospitable to all illegal immigrants.
Curfews can be imposed during the nights and the Police and Military Patrol unleashed to enforce the Curfew laws.
There should be committees to ensure that Illegals are not allowed to board Commercial Vehicles to travel because they have no Ghana Cards.
Illegals found in Ghana, especially Nigerians should be taken to Military Barracks for Military discipline and tortured before being deported. Illegals who become involved in crimes should be made to to have Special Facial Marks before being deported. If such people are arrested for being in the country illegally for the Second time or more, they should be imprisoned at Military Barracks where they should be Chained in Gangs to undertake Menial jobs for hours, lashed brutally with canes and Horsewhip for months before being deported. They should be Fingerprinted always and whenever they are arrested after their deportations, their punishments should be doubled and carried out by our Military Personnel. More marks should be made in their faces and tortured mercilessly. When such illegals are caught up for the Third time in Criminal Activities and with Guns and other Weapons, they should have their one hand amputated before deportations. If arrested again doing crime,their second hand should be amputated before deportations.
Any Ghanaians who employ or offer accommodations to Illegals should be imprisoned for 10 years with Hard Labor and their Houses taken and given to the Police, Fire, Ambulatory Service, Prison Officials etc. All Immigrants will finally not see Ghana as a Haven and flee the country. Make Ghana inhospitable to all Illegal Immigrants. That will reduce crime in Ghana.
