The Komenda sugar factory is still idle, denying young people employment, while Ghana continues to import sugar from Brazil. The NDC government should be more concerned about this than about propaganda and populist approaches. Furthermore, the government should be mindful that the 1D1F initiative of the previous NPP administration is working, with the Ekromfi pineapple juice factory producing in 24-hour shifts and now being expanded to produce citrus juice.
