If he wins, an Acting Chairman could be appointed.
If the appeal process to finality favours him, he assumes office otherwise he is removed and a substantive is duly determined.

This is the reason I said earlier that , it was error to changed Lawyer Andy . Lawyer Atta Akyea is good at delaying cases and that is not what Wontumi needed. Now it will be harder for Wontumi to be national chairman because of his new lawyer. It’s most likely his bail will be denied in October and Atta Akyea will filed numerous appeals up to the Supreme Court. His bail’s application alone will take him up to next year. His other cases are piling up. NPP should have allowed Wontumi to maintain Lawyer Andy. What difference has Atta Akyea made to Wontumi cases aside from delaying tactics? .

If you(Kj) care to know the truth, fact and evidence, during the 2024 elections, this same Wontumi, whose party was in power, was the NPP Ashanti regional chairman, was not in prison, but NDC's votes increased to 33% from 26% in 2020 elections.
There is a saying that "When someone releases bad air on you and you are over zealous to retaliate, you will end up releasing the REAL THING, and you will have houseflies as your companions".
