You were aware of all this, yet you went around closing hostels. Now you've realized that you have no power. You seem to have finally understood that you should be inviting the landlords. Previously, however, you foolishly moved around with the media and over 20 people, entering private sector hostels that are people's residences and making unnecessary noise. Why dont you continue this behavior instead of moving on from the hostels? You lack professionalism as a rent control officer. You thought intimidation could position you as the main rent control officer, you were entering people's hostels which is a private homes of student, without appointments or invitations. Your actions are unprofessional.

Commissioner, I told you from the start that we all support cleaning up the housing system and getting rid of landlords and landladies who take advantage of tenants by consistently raising rents. At some point, I told you to tone down your voice and slow down a bit because we are a country of laws. I’m happy that today you have accepted that you are not above the law and therefore you cannot make your own laws within the housing industry to intimidate house owners. I’m also happy that we have now reached a point of convergence where you have agreed that house owners need to be engaged to resolve the impasse between house owners and the Rent Control Department (RCD). What I feel sorry for is that you have allowed these students to use you to expose your unprofessional conduct, which invalidate your position as a Commissioner at the RCD. You have to come out and apologise to all hostel owners you have defamed because of your myopic way of analysing issues. ‘Gerut’ of that office with your Rombo style of doing things, and join the Ghana Armed Forces at Oudalla Barracks or Achiase Jungle Welfare if age will permit you to continue it there, because that's where you belong.
