Three individuals accused of carrying out a robbery at the residence of legendary footballer Asamoah Gyan appeared before a Circuit Court in Accra on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The suspects covered their faces with their hands as they were escorted into the courtroom, attempting to conceal their identities from the public.
The outcome of the proceedings has not yet been made public, as attorneys seek to ensure the suspects face the necessary punishment if found guilty.

They are accused of robbing Gyan’s residence at gunpoint, using pistols to make away with valuable assets belonging to the ex-footballer, including medals, watches, and luxury jewellery.
Reports indicate that two of the suspects, brothers Adams Adder Almeida and Bala Bilyon, were arrested in connection with the August 6 shooting at Beach Drive Estate, Tuba, near Weija.
The victim, 54-year-old Mohammed Rahman, died after being shot, while his wife, Christiana Fosu, 53, sustained gunshot wounds and was hospitalised for treatment.
Police revealed that Adams allegedly admitted during interrogation to shooting the couple, claiming he was provoked by repeated remarks from Rahman, who allegedly described him as “lazy and useless.”
