As to why he absconded is difficult to guess but it is possible he has succumbed to the world's vanities. I can bet my last pesewa too that he has tasted Eve's apple which has opened his eyes to other aspects of the world. These daughters of Eve and the influence they can have on men is really something else. Personally I pray and wish him the best in his future endeavours.

The Assemblies Of God Church is there to preach the unadulterated WORD OF JESUS CHRIST to all and sundry to be saved. Many thieves have heard the Word of Jesus and taken onboard and got saved and serving God diligently poised to go to Heaven.
Jesus came to serve and save the world and rightly this is what He did. A thief is a sinner and we are all sinners to be saved by grace. Some have been saved but others too are yet to be saved.
Romans 3:23 says: All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD - be it a thief, murderer, prostitute etc.
The Bible is clear; those of us at moment accusing others of stealing, committing adultery and what have you one day will find some of these people in Heaven and it will be surprise. Some may at a point repent even last minute and because they accepted the Lord Jesus Christ they will be saved.

There are a lot of things going on in most churches. My questions with regard to this particular situation are:
1. Catholic priests are allowed to join Police Service as Chaplains. Why did he join the service without permission?
2. Why did the church suspend the priest who was no where to be found? Instead of looking for him, the church decided to suspend him in his absence without establishing the reason for leaving his parish?
I believe the church is not telling us the whole truth. Quoting provisions from the canon law is just to throw dust into the eyes of the public.

There are a lot of intimidations in most of the churches by the senior ministers against their juniors. This is common in most of the established churches such as Catholic, Methodist, Presby, Anglican, SDA, Baptist etc. I don’t know much about the Pentecostals/Charismatics.
