Oh, I feel sorry for the lady. I think that the illegality of dealing in Drugs and the dangers involved in using them should be taught very early in our Schools and even Churches, Mosques and Traditional African Religious centers.
Teaching Social Studies in Ghana over four decades ago, all students were made to know was that it is illegal to do. Why it is illegal and dangerous was never taught. So, some of our younger ones don't know the dangers associated with dealing in, and using drugs. Some just see it as a quicker way of making money. Drugs sale and usage are extremely dangerous. Uncle Sam has very young ones usually dealing in Drugs. This leads them to commit some crimes that they would not have committed. Some of them end up dying sometimes in a Shootout with the Police, their Suppliers and Competitors. I think the Parents, Churches, Mosques, Traditional Authorities should all be involved. Society suffers most when the Youth became involved in, and addicted to Drugs.
Ghana relatively find it easier to fight the war against Drugs because what the people engage in is usually Weed. Very Hard Drugs like Cocaine, Heroin etc are expensive and the youth can't easily afford to buy. The control should start from the sale of Weed. Adults caught in the sale of Weed should be given long term Prison Sentences because they are ruining our country. Let dealers have Prison terms with extremely Hard Labor. That will deter would be Dealers from engaging in them.

Imagine a DRUG GURU wants to be a leader in the society. All those related into drugs business should not be given the opportunity into our political spaces.

Sad story. This woman needs help, counseling, constan monitoring, Guidance and financial support. Arrested in 2014 means 16years in prison. I will plead for her release and support.
