Before the procedure even begins, there has to be a blood type to ensure that the kidney donor and recipient match or the body will reject the kidney. This man's story is full of holes, large enough to drive a truck through. He said he was unconscious while playing soccer and attributed this to a leg injury. It is hard to believe that a leg injury resulted him being unconscious.

The first thing a patient who has had their kidney removed surgically would notice on waking up would be wound dressings and possibly drains on the side of their abdomen where the kidney was removed. They would be on strong pain killers at least at the early stages and monitored very carefully. No mention of what would the most glaring thing (bandages ,wound dressings etc) makes the whole story unlikely). Either the whole story is in his own head or he has left out vital details.
