It looks like prosecutors rushed to a hasty conclusion. Criminal cases always require a higher burden of proof from prosecutors and this doesn’t seem to be going well for them.

It implies for a good 10 weeks he has been struggling to cast some doubt on the prosecution witness's statements. As to whether he succeeded we shall know as to whether the defence is called to open their defence or not. But so far things do not look too good for the defence. In the U S or in europe 10 weeks could have been used to complete a case. But I can bet my last pesewa that the prosecution has established a prima facie case and Adu Boahene would be requested to open his defence.

Why spent 10 weeks to cross-examine a single witness? In other jurisdictions like Canada or United States, 10 weeks would complete a full-blown case such as Adu Boahens. So, it tells you that the prosecution in my opinion has met its burden. What the defense tried to do is to either delay or poke holes in prosecution's case. But 2 and half months, is absurd! If Adu Boahen and his wife were in jail, Atta Akyea, would have speed up the cross-examination. Hope the prosecution also post its version.
