I do not believe there is any such thing as a "corrupt politician" in Ghana—because only the law can prove someone guilty of corruption.

Here is why I say this:
During every election campaign, the opposition always accuses the ruling party of being corrupt. But since 2020, no ruling party has successfully jailed any former politician for embezzlement or financial embarrassment. Not one.

This troubles my mind. If corruption truly exists, why has no one been convicted?

When the NPP or NDC are in opposition, they cry loudly about corruption. Yet once they gain power, none of their previous accusations lead to jail time. Why is that?

Either the accusations were false all along, or our legal system is failing to deliver justice. But based on the evidence we have—or rather, the lack of it—it seems there is no such thing as a corrupt politician in Ghana after all.
