No human being should be treated with such cruelty because of their faith. We must remember the victims, condemn religious persecution in all its forms, and stand for the dignity and freedom of every human life.
We mourn the lives of our brothers and sisters, honour their faith, and pray that their witness will continue to shine. As Scripture says, “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” (Revelation 2:10)
