We keep complaining and talking about societal problems arising from governance, but no one seems to propose any great solution or talk about the real root of the problems which I have found to be the so-called practice of "POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS" that allows some chosen selfish and greedy people in leadership to only enrich themselves by hidden corruption of "loot and share" without solving problems as if we are their pets or slaves and also as if society or government belongs to them as their personal property when we give them the power to govern society. Deceit of law-makers and ignorance in the greater part of the public is the critical issue that avoids the real solutions which can genuinely address most societal problems, especially, the need to abolish the idea of "POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS" and elect all top public officials. We bypass the solution (Abolish political appointments and elect all top leaders of each sector) and we only keep complaining about the problems, years upon years as if most intellectuals or none of us has the real common sense to solve problems or the problems do not have solutions, when there are solutions (Which is "Do not appoint anyone anymore but elect all top officials by votes in each entity or sector of government!") which we are mostly avoiding by some suspected ignorance of Hosea 4:6. The Chief is gradually becoming a politician and it is dangerous for Ghana's democracy and the future of our judicial system. Some of the things he has been doing and saying in public Keep some of us in awe and wonder if he has forgotten about his judicial oath like what Prof. Asare said in his write up.
Were these comments necessary at all? Pitching one political administration against the other? Is that part of the judicial function as Chief Justice? If in his view, some institutions are performing well, why not he is free to say that but to compare their performance with former managers in public, leaves much to desired as CJ.
He should not conduct himself in a way that will seem that he is in bed with government else judicial decisions will be tainted.
