Forget about this case if the OSP or a Parliamentary Committee is doing this investigation. Parliament is rotten from the head down to the very bottom. All the Speaker does is tacitly support the wrong deeds, set up a Committee and then husshhh. Hence my assertion that the Speaker acquiesces to all the wrongdoings in Parliament. The fish rots from it's head downwards.

When the populace starts doubting the credibility of elected officials and public institutions it means the system is not working. Systemic and cultural change is required.

The fact of the matter could be that truly the money has been given to them. That’s why the deputy speaker is saying they have setup a committee to investigate the issue. And if truly it was given, the reason why it was given will be stated after investigations. What if at the end of investigation, they said is sitting allowance? Now is it the nominees who pay such allowances? Now the woman is mentioning a name is the person still alive or dead ? The person should come boldly to clear his name and even went to extend to sue the woman if truly he has no hand in the allegation. Now do you all remember there’s one pending extortion allegation issue? So who has always been in the vetting committee? So this would have been normal thing they do. So they are rejecting this one so that no one will come out later that they are extorting anyone.
