It is so sad adults who benefitted from a much more better education have decided to forcefully let students of today down.

What is this mad rush to give formal education to every child in Ghana without consideration of other factors like, dyslexia, disability and basically, environmental factors.

The first thing to go must be this bad continuous assessment nonsense.

Give children the freedom to learn at their own pace.

Let parents contribute financially to their child's education.

Our focus should be on early childhood education, nursery.

We have practised this useless JHS/SHS nonsense for 3 decades now while the world kept the old GECE/O'level/A'level.

WHY ARE YOU ADULTS SO WICKED. Let's go back to what worked.

All these problems are signals to tell us that our means of assessments of our students in JHS & SHS have become archaic & primitive. Govt shd start planning to merge JHS & SHS. Students shd only write external exams when they are 18, as being done elsewhere. The cost of doing this will be huge but it will help the nation improve on its standards of education to suit its demand.I know many Ghanaians who enjoy the A Class(elite) schools will strongly reject this idea, but Govt can allow those schools to be autonomous to run on their own ( GIS & AIS style).This decision will also mean the stoppage of boarding housing of students which economically is good for the nation. When this happens students will then be prepared internally to write only Entry Exams to Tertiary Education. This will drastically take aeay the malpractices going on in WAEC Exams
