Another day and yet another venue for talking heads to offer meaningless commentary on government policy directive while "Rome" burns.

I have not heard from all the so-called think tanks and media watchdog groups seriously tackle events on the ground that has taken the lives of 3 Ghanaians and many more injured victims. Oh but here comes the keyboard warriors and news squatters of IMANI to pollute the airwaves with meaningless crap.

Is there no room in the Kofi Bentil thinking inn to consider the death of Ghanaians where 2 MP's and police service officers are implicated in the issues? Hate the NDC, HE John Mahama or love them, critics of the NPP type and closet opposition interest groups masquerading as media or think tanks are not going to change what a resolute president and a more focused NDC party is doing.

There is and always be upcoming events that require that so-called intellectual gift God has showered upon people to take to media to offer opinions. But there is a difference between entities that genuinely care about the welfare of Ghanaians and the Ghana brand and those who are driven by the pursuit of riches via the "property seeking" democracy ideology.

The idea and ideals of "yeti seka so na kom di yen" mentality of the modern day NPP has bedeviled Ghanaians into thinking there is no value to righteousness over moral equivalence. Social media outfits fell into the same trap pushing men and women to fall over each other to become paid talking heads at radio and TV programs. If the death of Ghanaians cannot be deemed more important than firing of board members then we are doomed.

The President SHALL appoint and UNAPPOINT. It is his EXECUTIVE PREROGATIVE so to do. He is NOT OBLIGED OR OBLIGATED to explain to the appointed or the unappointed or anyone for that matter how he expresses or applies that authority.

There are appropriate statutory legal channels and processes established to challenge glaring, unacceptable or clearly unlawful executive overreach.

To the extent that any such decision, appointing or unappointing, in his view, serves the larger developmental objective of Ghana, he is neither restrained nor constrained by public sentiment or pedestrian arguments.

His executive powers are unambiguous and all the noise about his application or use of same is MOOT.
