A clear sign of desperation which shouldn’t be the case. Any attempt to jump at an opportunity without considering the consequences is a recipe of disaster.
Jordan has over the years lost what once made him a good player. It’s obvious that he does better in training matches whenever on holidays than in competitive games. He should be thinking about becoming competitive again at club side and forget about the national team.
His handlers should advise him to call off his time with the national team so he can be focused on club football. It’s dignifying to bow out by himself than to wait until the football people retire him.

It doesn't bode for team morale when your captain plays for a second their team, compared to the other players who feature in premier leagues. He should relinquish his captaincy to someone who doesn't play in a second tier league. Ayew is now a journeyman who shouldn't be called up to the national team.
