Ghana defaulted on its international loans and interest payments to the IMF and the World Bank. Ghana is a FAILED STATE. Ghana has been to the IMF and the World Bank 18 times since independence. Ghana went to the IMF and the World Bank Cup in hand to beg for a bailout in 2022 by Akuffo Addo and Ken Ofori Atta and Bawumia.

I very much agree with you. Ghanaians should know and understand that the Government should not be involved in the building of any Cathedral. What will Ghanaians say if Moslems ask for a the Government to build a National Mosque,or African Traditional Religious Believers ask for the Government building a National Shrine for them. The Kingdom of Ancient Israel collapsed and fell because of the construction of the Solomon's Temple of God. It brought an untold Physical and other Social Hardships on Israel.
So much has been sent on the building of the National Cathedral that it should be continued but not used as a National Cathedral but for very useful purposes. God lives in the Hearts of Humans but not in any building.

If the current president and his propagandists had not played politics with the National Cathedral construction, it would have been completed and Ghana would have been reaping the benefits from it by the end of 2024. I didn't hear any Moslem criticizing the National Cathedral project. The Chief Imam even donated GHS100,000 towards the construction. It was the so-called men of God who allowed their small minds wo be manipulated by the NDC propaganda machine led by Okujeto Ablakwa, Kevin Taylor, Ralph, Oliver Barker Vomawor, Martin Kpebu and the others to criticize the project to the extent that people like Archbishop Duncan Williams led the "Demonize the Cathedral Team" to ensure that the project never succeeded. NDC shamelessly renamed the project National Cultural Convention Center after taking office. President Mahama calls himself a Christian and yet he encouraged his stooges to denigrate men and women of God who were in charge of the project including his own former Gen. Superintendent Prof. Frempong Manso and said that the Board of Trustees were corrupt. Now go ahead and construct your renamed National Cultural Convention Center and let Akufo-Addo's name rest. When The Jubilee House was been constructed by President Kufuor you said an NDC administration would convert it into a poultry farm. When the new BOG was being constructed NDC made so much noise about corruption and even promised that former Governor Dr. Addison would be jailed if NDC won power. You all kept quiet when your own appointed Governor who was previously on trial came to debunk NDC propaganda shouted about corruption and said that the building was the most cost effective and value for money. This government is fund of demonizing the previous administration's projects like Agenda 111, Accra-Kumasi Dualization, and many other projects, and suspending their construction. They should go ahead and the day of reckoning will surely come.

It's when you politicise every project taken by your political opponents without thinking about its long term benefits, that is where the problem is. Are we going to allow over 50m dollars go waste or allow the project go ahead which will eventually pay itself, by it attraction to tourists and Ghanaians alike. Europe and most countries are benefiting from their long-term investments in architectural monuments.

In the first place, the nation does not need any national cathedral for anything. Why? Most of the doctrines in our churches today are paganic doctrines from Rome (the Catholic church). Doctrines like the so called holy trinity, Christmas and Easter celebrations, the taking of the communion in every month, etc. The cathedral is just going to help in propagation of these demonic teachings.
