A bandit harms society for personal gain. A stupid person harms society and, eventually, himself. Galamsey is stupidity on steroids: we poison the water we drink, destroy the land that feeds us, ruin the health of our children - and call the proceeds wealth. It is not merely greed; it is organised national self-destruction. No economy survives the death of its ecology.
