BOSTLA marks 10 years with renewed push for women’s leadership

The BOSTenergies Ladies Association (BOSTLA), the women’s association of BOST Energies Limited, has marked its 10th anniversary with a renewed call for stronger support for women in the workplace.

The anniversary, held under the theme, “A Decade of Excellence: Honouring the Foundation, Inspiring the Next Generation,” celebrated the association’s 10-year journey of promoting women’s empowerment, professional growth and workplace equality.

The celebrations, which began on August 10, 2026, featured a series of activities, including a panel discussion, a side-hustle exhibition, a corporate food bazaar, a thanksgiving and durbar, and a grand black-tie gala.

A key part of the anniversary was a panel discussion involving BOSTLA’s patrons and matrons. The discussion focused on workplace equality, career growth and the importance of mentoring younger women to prepare them for leadership.

BOSTLA also gave members the opportunity to showcase their businesses through a side-hustle exhibition. The initiative allowed members to promote their products and entrepreneurial activities beyond their corporate roles.

At the anniversary thanksgiving and durbar, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Shamima Muslim called for greater attention to workplace gender equality and policies that give women equal opportunities to grow and assume leadership roles.

Special Guest Linda Ampah also encouraged members to invest in their personal development and take up leadership opportunities.

The celebrations further brought together women’s associations from across the energy sector, including PELA of the Petroleum Commission, Power Queens of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), NAPET Ladies of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), and GAS Ladies of Ghana Gas.

The anniversary ended with a black-tie gala on September 5, featuring a documentary on BOSTLA’s 10-year journey, entertainment, and the presentation of citations to founders, past executives and current leaders for their contributions.

“This decade has proven what happens when corporate women unite with a shared purpose and enjoy strong backing from our Managing Director,” she stated.

She said BOSTLA was entering its next decade with a strong foundation to inspire and prepare the next generation of female leaders.
