This is the problem with Ghanaians. Y’all don’t like what you have. Any time Ghanaians open their mouth all they do is compare everything to US!!!! Aba!! All they know is US. Why that? You can hardly hear them comparing stuff to any of the European countries. Everything is US, US, US!!! They want to eat like Americans and don’t want to enjoy what’s produced in the country which is more organic and better but stuff from US! Prices will never go down till they realize and buy Ghanaian. I understand one may want one or two things from US but it looks like they want everything from US. I feel like they want to be the 51st US state! Since y’all want to import from US then stop complaining about the prices! Local rice is better than the stupid imported ones yet yall don’t want that, they want imported rice from US and maybe China. That’s crazy!!! One of the annoying thing is the Money Transfers!!!! The first thing on any platform most especially the YouTubers is “When sending money from US” that’s the first sentence you hear before any other country is mentioned. I hope y’all get US out of y’all communication a little and focus on Ghana- Ghana made, Ghana grown and Cedis a little bit!!!

This means inflation is high in Ghana. Cost of living in Ghana is very high compare to most African countries. The Government trying to artificially keeping the dollar low is not helping the ordinally citizens. They just want to boast of keeping exchange rate low. If 1000gh cannot buy basic necessities it means inflation is low just on paper for the government to look good. People cannot afford basic necessities.

Prices of 1st grade scented Thai rice is more expensive in Accra than Toronto? The equivalent 50kg bag of rice in Toronto is GHC 689.00 when rice is on sale here. Even when it's not on sale, the price works out to Ghc984.00 at the regular price. Greed has made Accra ridiculously expensive than it should be. A Ghanaian wants to make 100% profit on any sales he makes whereas 25% profit margin will be normal.
