Karl Marx wrote about the British opium trafficking in China, backed by the British Royal Navy. It will interest you that Ghanaians still celebrate puppy day, with donations.
It was as a result of the illicit drug trade that Britain, Holland and US seized and occupied parts of China, which they relinquish in the late 1990s.
Turkey for instance became friend of US and her allies because opium that is bought in Afghanistan passed through the Turkish port Ishmail.
The first war between Libya and US was over the refusal of Libyan Emperor to allow US opium ships on their way to China to birth at Libyan ports.
The fact is that while US and her allies arrest citizens of other countries that are involved in the illicit drug trade and leave their people free is in the history about the drug trade above.
The question to ask is why Leijdekkers is not in prison in Holland, but is released to go round the world, especially in Africa to continue with his illicit drugs trade.
It looks like Leijdekkers is a gas that cannot be arrested by the Sierra Leone authorities, and also Ghanaian authorities because of the diplomatic immunity granted to him by the Dutch Authorities.

Honestly, this single individual can do nothing without the assistance of Ghanaian security forces. The top officials are the blame. The National reputation they are to protect, instead is a deviation to seeking personal interest. The junior officers could do nothing once the command is from above. NDC government sit up. The top men are dead on the job. A weak horse is oftentimes rejected.
