I wish Sterling well. I pray that he is sentenced to hours of community services. This will do him real good than imprisonment. Just because he was rich did not mean that he did not have a weakness. Footballers’ life is so stressful that some turn to rely on drugs to escape realism. They get up in the morning 7/24 to train and play matches. Hardly do you meet top footballers walking in public. Even if they have a family, they are isolated. When they are out of contract, they are not allowed on the club’s training grounds. They have no income than what they had saved. They cannot find a normal job because they don’t have the skills. All these may lead them to use drugs. Lord help Sterling that he is not referred to the Crown Court. The Crown Court has the power to sentence him for more than 2 years
