ON THE ONE HAND, HE SAYS THERE SHOULD BE A CONSULTATIVE PROCESS FIRST. ON THE OTHER HAND, HE IS SAYING THE AMENDMENTS SEEM TO HIM AS A NEW CONSTITUTION, MEANING HE IS AGAINST THE AMENDMENTS, REGARDLESSS OF ANY MERITS IF MAY HAVE.

THIS IS A TYPICAL NPP MODEL. THEY ALWAYS TRY TO CREATE CONFUSION FOR THE SAKE OF BEING SEEN TO BE DOING SOMETHING.

PNDC/NDC has done it before through insertion of the Indemnity Clauses in the current constitution at the last minute. The same could be done through last minute insertion of third term presidency and the abrogation of banning the current president from contesting. NPP should not count a referendum to stop the manipulation as all sorts of coercion could be adopted. So far this current govt is making nonsense of our laws as it can set free its corrupt party as well as violent/insulting members while prosecuting members of the opposition. It's unfortunate that Ghana's democratic institutions and credentials have been dragged into the mud within just one and half years.

By the way why aren't all major stakeholders including members of the opposition and identifiable bodies who contributed towards the current Constitution are not being involved. There's something diabolical planned by the govt to entrench its party in party forever
