Don't even dare talk about Africans being complacent without looking at what was happening in Europe at the time. I have no time to lecture you on this, read it somewhere yourself.

For 113 years, the British colonised most of Ghana. Do you know how many secondary schools they build, hospitals, industries????, universities, ports.

Have you bothered to check when most churches, universities, hospitals were build in Europe and their acquired lands in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, America etc at the same time.

If course, our forefathers where too naive and generous refusing to question even the simplest generosity as many of you are doing today.

If you are indeed a Ghanaian, then I am ashamed of you for not asking very important questions.

Watch the video and see what material were used to build these buildings, research what prefabricated are, the cost, if indeed this is a 10 million dollars project.

Ghana has not done badly in the last 69 years if you are to compare the schools, hospitals, water access, electricity access, industries, houses, etc, etc we have built even in the face of neocolonialism and most times, self hate and self inflicted crisis, which by the way can be understandable for a young nation trying to forge her existence and progress in a world where you could have uranium but not allowed to own nuclear electricity, cocoa but your finished cocoa products may not be purchased because it has to be shipped raw for the Europeans to run it through their market to create the many jobs for themselves.

I can go on and on, but let me ask you one question, what is stopping you as a Ghanaian if indeed you are one, from going to a village or community and contribute something even small to make someone's life better.

Do we have to always wait for government to come and do everything for us or an European to come and help 'civilise our people as they may claim?

That community is so focused on money and probably they are right, but also have to learn to take care of their children and learn and build good facilities not waiting for hand outs from a YouTuber using this to click bait and earn more, for what his ideas are, not clear!

Don't fault me for questioning his intent. European interactions with Africans have always turned out to be full of manipulation and exploitation.

After all, they make billions out of cocoa each year creating millions of jobs along the way, all because of the "illegal labour" of a poor child in Ghana.

Are they here to build prefabricated structures and paint over them to exocises themselves?

Ghana must be built by Ghanaians not Europeans. Building a nation is not about a one day project. It is about the mindset, the structures, determination, patience, posterity and more.

Acts of generosity are good but not enough to even replace exploitation, humiliation and total disregard for the worth of humans make by the creator just by a few Europeans.

I don't like referring to Arabs in my writing because they have questions to answer themselves but see how Europeans are constantly destroying everything they build in the middle east.

So it is not about developing ourselves, there more than meets the eyes going on in this world. Open your eyes.

If we have the opportunity to also colonise whites, we may achieve same success provided they are strong enough to survive 500 years and still counting of enslavement, racism, economy subjugation and more.

I suggest that the new Minister understudy the Norwegian waste management system for implementation or pilot testing in Ghana. Each Assembly, Municipality should have its own waste management recycling value chain and have a waste management company (private-public ownership) (40 percent or more ownership by the Assembly, Municipality), all the systems should be put in place for waste sorting, collection and recycling. Then as a Minister for local government please see to it that the decentralization is properly implemented and overseen by the Ministry. Roads in the local communities and residences are very bad. The government should make allocation for building these roads, building sanitation systems among others to make living in these places meaningful. A case in point is the Ablekuma abase road. A simple 2km road for the past 15-20 years have never been constructed. The people living in such places feel 'isolated' from the big men politicians. Several communities in Accra (and Kumasi and the regional capitals) still live in the 'stone-age'-no good road, no water, no gutter, no waste collection system, no market place etc. I call this the 'red-earth' syndrome which is a common feature of several communities in Accra. As a new Minister, a 'Bawku boy' I believe you understand these concerns. The 'red-earth' syndrome can be seen all over the Northern region too. We challenge you as the new Minister to make a difference! To take it up as your task with the President to make this 'red-earth' syndrome associated with almost all communities in the country a thing of the past. If the government can direct resources into improving the physical spaces and living places (I mean the roads, the parks, the playing fields for kids, the gutters,the bus stops/trotro/taxi stops and lorry parks, waste collection systems etc) that enhance the living conditions of the citizens, this government would be one of the best that the citizens would love to keep for a long time. Norwegian communities and living spaces can provide some insights for the government and the new Minister to learn from. The change can be done through the assembles, the municipalities, the metropolitan assemblies; they need to be resourced to make these changes in the communities. These assemblies, and municipalities need very strong oversight(supervision, accountability, contracting, auditing, punishment for corruption, monitoring & control, etc) from the central ministry to effect these changes! The Ablekuma Abase is just one example, places in Madina, Kwashiema, Santa Maria, Abeka, Osu, Chokor, New Town, Nima, Ashongman, Dansoman, Kasoa, Ashaiman etc are all evidence of the 'red-earth' syndrome. Same situation in all the regions! These situation define the 'underdevelopment' of the country and the President and the government and the New Minister can turn this situation round for the better! So, welcome Mr New Minister! ...and to add the Finance Minister should take interest in this transformation. Lots of money is being spent on major roads; similarly, the Finance minister should also focus on roads and sanitation situations in the communities! Monies needs to be allocated for these projects too! This American YouTuber project example can be replicated across the country!
