Ghanaian man reportedly dies in Netherlands a day after arrival

A Ghanaian man, Kwaku Adu-Gyamfi, has reportedly died after being hit by a train in the Netherlands, just a day after arriving in the country.

The tragic incident has left his family traumatised as they are still struggling to come to term with his sudden demise.

In a heartbreaking post shared on Facebook on September 19, 2026, his sister expressed shock at the circumstances surrounding his death.

“Just a night in Holland? You travelled and just the next day, you got hit by a train. Make it make sense to me, Kwaku,” she wrote.

The grieving sister further indicated that Kwaku's death had caused immense pain and recounted seeing their father cry for the first time.

“Kwaku, come and see Dad crying for the first time. M’akyiriba no kɔ ooo. My brother is gone,” she added.
