******** Inflation means a general rise in the prices of goods and services over time.
In simple terms, your money buys less than it used to.
For example:
* A loaf of bread costs Ghc1
today.
* If inflation causes prices to rise by 10%, it might cost Ghc1.10 later.
* If your income does not rise, your purchasing power has fallen.
So, inflation is essentially the gradual reduction in the buying power of money because prices are rising.
Example: If Ghc100 could buy your usual groceries a year ago, but those same groceries now cost Ghc110, that's roughly 10% inflation for that basket of goods.
The above is exactly what we’re experiencing!!!!!
