If the Businesses charge their customer VAT but fail to remit payment to GRA, it is "stealing from the state". We should not treat it with a friendly approach. The law must work.

Here we go again with GUTA. It’s setting up GRA for blame and failure in collecting VAT. What kind of nonsense is this by advising to show a human face and friendliness? GUTA is the association which must up its game constantly by engaging the traders to pay their taxes. It’s an important obligation, responsible, and non negotiable citizens duty.
It appears GUTA is afraid of something or looking to ‘needle’ the VAT exercise despite assurances of support.
