Okraku is trying to sugar coat the players' withdrawal with this patriotism nonsense. Let's face it. AFCON is a third tier tournament that most of these players aren't interested in playing in. They will feign injuries to get out of playing. Secondly, their clubs don't want them risking injuries to play in AFCON and so they will heed to their clubs' advise as that is where they earn their livelihood and there's nothing GFA can do about it, eventhough FIFA requires the clubs to release their players for international duty.
