BOG gives us the end result of socio-economic activities in the land. When inflation is reported at 3.2% it has already happened. The BOG CAN NOT PREVENT IT. The BOG, like the Govt's Statistical Service, tells us what has happened. Then it determines what mitigating measures are required. The Exports and Imports and Borrowings and Costs of Living which, together, determine whether Inflation rises or falls; whether the Cedi weakens or strengthens..Right now certain food items are in good supply and their prices have gone down. In a few months the items will be in short supply and the prices will go up. Solution: Improve Agric output, link it with Processing Storage etc. If we continue doing things as before, we cannot expect different results.
