To expect that the government would give them job when there are already high unemployment in the country is very unrealistic, and reflects the high unrealistic, miraculous expectations of many Ghanaians. So if you are blessed to be supported by Govt to rent an apartment, you should be grateful. 2. Could you grant media interviews if you were still in SA? Who knows if you would still be alive to grant interviews? With Xenophobians taking over your property and jobs, how would you have survived since the SA govt would surely not give you money to rent? South Africans though have issues with foreigners they generally love Ghanaians because of how Ghanaians go about their daily dealings and how respectful we are.
Ghanaians have been accepted in South Africa communities to the extent that many South Africans can speak Twi fluently though they've never travel to Ghana. Meanwhile many Ghanaians can't speak the South African languages
There are many inter marriages between Ghanaians and South Africans so you can't separate us
There are about 40000 plus Ghanaians in South Africa and taking about 1000 plus doesn't solve the issue affecting Ghanaians in South Africa. The government should have find a way to help Ghanaians get work permit which is the number one problem of Ghanaians leaving in South Africa.
Every month about 7 million rands are sent to Ghana for family support etc. That's a lot
