But a friend recently told me that Koku has been dabbling in methamphetamine & tramadol lately, and the reason is because of his lonely, hopeless, isolated, and dejected life in recent times. So, let us establish something: the controversy surrounding Kevin Taylor is not simply about whether Mahama personally knows him. The real question is whether there is a political relationship, arrangement, or connection that explains the apparent protection and tolerance Kevin Taylor has enjoyed from sections of the political establishment.

Mahama now says he does not know Kevin Taylor. Fine. But Ghanaians are entitled to ask questions about the relationship between the two, particularly when allegations of political recruitment and financial support have circulated publicly.

And what about Anne Sansa Daly, the woman whose professional credentials became a subject of national controversy?

If the president has no connection to these individuals, how should the public understand their proximity to his political establishment and the controversies surrounding them?

The issue is not resolved by simply declaring that Kevin Taylor was once an NPP member. Political affiliation does not automatically explain someone’s subsequent political conduct, relationships, or possible financial arrangements.

If Mahama genuinely has no relationship with Kevin Taylor, then he should welcome a transparent examination of the allegations rather than expect Ghanaians to accept political explanations without scrutiny.

The same standard must apply to everyone. If a government can demand accountability from its critics, it must also be prepared to answer questions about individuals associated with its own political circle.

And to those pretending that these questions are meaningless, please stop insulting the intelligence of Ghanaians.

We are asking legitimate questions about political influence, accountability, and consistency. The public deserves evidence, transparency, and answers—not convenient denials whenever controversy becomes uncomfortable.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to understand the silence of some of Ghana’s prominent religious leaders whenever the government is confronted with serious questions about accountability, hypocrisy, and the welfare of ordinary citizens.

Where are the voices of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Rev. Owusu Bempah, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Agyinae, and the other influential men of God who have never hesitated to speak when political circumstances favoured them?

Have they suddenly lost their prophetic voices, or has political proximity compromised their willingness to speak truth to power?

Ghanaians deserve to ask these questions. The church cannot claim to be the moral conscience of the nation while appearing selectively courageous depending on who occupies the presidency.

If these men of God were genuinely committed to righteousness, justice, and accountability, their principles should not change with the political party in power. A president’s political affiliation should never determine whether a pastor finds the courage to condemn wrongdoing.

And let us be clear: Ghana does not need military intervention to expose political hypocrisy. What this country needs is constitutional accountability, independent institutions, courageous citizens, and religious leaders who cannot be intimidated, influenced, or compromised by political power.

The irony is that some of these religious figures have cultivated enormous influence through their association with political leaders. Yet, when ordinary Ghanaians are struggling, their public interventions often appear remarkably restrained.

The pulpit must never become an extension of the presidential palace.

A man of God who can boldly rebuke an ordinary citizen but remains silent before political authority must be prepared to answer questions about the consistency of his moral convictions.

Ghana needs prophets who speak truth to power, not religious celebrities who appear to speak only when political circumstances are convenient.

And if any religious leader believes that political connections place him above public scrutiny, he should remember that no title, congregation, or relationship with the presidency exempts anyone from accountability.

The church must choose between being the conscience of the nation and becoming an accessory to political power. History will remember which side its leaders chose.

John Mahama has demonstrated what many Ghanaians consider one of the most glaring examples of political hypocrisy in our national discourse.

You cannot spend years tolerating political insults against your opponents, traditional authorities, and ordinary citizens, only to suddenly discover the importance of civility when the insults become personal or involve your own family.

If you genuinely believe political insults are destroying Ghanaian society, then your condemnation must be consistent. It cannot depend on whose wife, family member, political ally, or opponent is involved.

And now that the conversation has reached your doorstep, suddenly there is outrage, concern, and a renewed interest in identifying people behind social media accounts.

Mr President, the same standards you demand for your family must apply to every Ghanaian, including those who have endured political attacks without receiving the protection or attention you now demand.

If you believe someone has committed an offence, let the law take its course. But do not confuse criticism, political accountability, and public anger with a personal licence to intimidate dissenting voices.

Come with the evidence. Come with the legal process. Come with the same determination to address political insults regardless of who is targeted.

Ghanaians are watching, and the question remains: Why does political civility suddenly become sacred when the consequences are felt personally?

Leadership requires consistency, Mr President. You cannot demand respect for your household while appearing indifferent to the dignity of everyone else’s.

The standard must be the same for Mahama’s family, his political opponents, traditional leaders, and every ordinary Ghanaian.

He’s number one hypocrite in Ghana and he has no shame no wonder he’s such a terrific womanizer!

Is John Mahama the most disappointing president Ghana has ever had to endure? Because at this point, the questions surrounding his leadership are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

A president is supposed to provide direction, demonstrate sound judgment, and inspire confidence in the people he governs. Yet, what many Ghanaians are witnessing is a leadership style that raises serious questions about competence, consistency, and accountability.

From grand political promises to the apparent contradictions between his words and actions, Mahama’s presidency deserves relentless scrutiny. What happened to the 24-hour economy? What happened to the promises of economic transformation? And why should Ghanaians continue to accept explanations when what they desperately need are measurable results?

The presidency is not a platform for political theatrics, excuses, or personal glorification. It is a constitutional responsibility entrusted to someone expected to serve millions of citizens.

Mahama must understand that Ghana is bigger than his political ambitions, bigger than the NDC, and certainly bigger than the interests of his loyal supporters.

The ordinary Ghanaian does not need another beautifully packaged speech. They need jobs, affordable living, reliable infrastructure, economic opportunities, and a government that takes their struggles seriously.

History will not judge Mahama by the number of times he addressed the nation or the applause he received from party loyalists. It will judge him by what he delivered, what he failed to deliver, and the consequences of his decisions for the Ghanaian people.

The presidency is not a retirement benefit for politicians. It is a responsibility to the people. And that responsibility demands competence, integrity, and results.

So, let us establish something: the controversy surrounding Kevin Taylor is not simply about whether Mahama personally knows him. The real question is whether there is a political relationship, arrangement, or connection that explains the apparent protection and tolerance Kevin Taylor has enjoyed from sections of the political establishment.

Mahama now says he does not know Kevin Taylor. Fine. But Ghanaians are entitled to ask questions about the relationship between the two, particularly when allegations of political recruitment and financial support have circulated publicly.

And what about Anne Sansa Daly, the woman whose professional credentials became a subject of national controversy?

If the president has no connection to these individuals, how should the public understand their proximity to his political establishment and the controversies surrounding them?

Isn’t the IGP appointed by the President? And if the President appoints the head of the police service, shouldn’t Ghanaians be entitled to ask questions about the independence of law enforcement, particularly when politically sensitive matters arise?

Now, let us talk about Kevin Taylor.

Who provided him with national security protection? Who authorised it? Under whose instructions was such protection arranged, and who bears responsibility for the resources deployed?

These are legitimate questions that deserve clear, documented answers.

If an ordinary Ghanaian makes controversial statements, the authorities can investigate, summon, or prosecute that individual where the law permits. But when allegations concern someone perceived to enjoy political connections or state protection, Ghanaians are entitled to demand consistency.

And this brings us back to Mahama.

If the President has no involvement in the decisions surrounding Kevin Taylor, then he should have no difficulty ensuring that the relevant authorities explain the circumstances transparently.

The argument is not that every police officer personally takes instructions from the President. Ghana’s Constitution establishes a chain of command, with the IGP responsible for the operational control and administration of the Police Service, subject to the constitutional framework.

But political accountability does not disappear simply because decisions are implemented through institutions.

Who authorised the protection? Who funded it? What was the legal basis? And would the same arrangement be available to an ordinary Ghanaian facing similar circumstances?

These are the questions Mahama’s government must answer.

You cannot preach equality before the law while leaving citizens wondering whether political connections determine who receives protection and who faces prosecution.

Ghana belongs to all of us—not the presidency, not the NDC, and certainly not any politically connected individual.

If the government believes it has acted lawfully, transparency should be its strongest defence.

How does a man stand before Ghanaians and claim he has no association with Kevin Taylor while simultaneously acknowledging that he knows his father? What exactly is he trying to communicate?

Nobody is asking Mahama to be personally responsible for every statement Kevin Taylor makes. The question is about consistency, credibility, and the apparent contradictions in his own explanations.

If Mahama knows Kevin Taylor’s father but claims no association with Kevin Taylor, Ghanaians are entitled to ask questions. Knowing someone’s father does not automatically establish a relationship with the son, but neither does it make the question unreasonable.

The problem with some NDC defenders is that they have turned political loyalty into a substitute for independent thinking. Anything Mahama says must be defended, even when his explanations deserve scrutiny.

Mogyimi, political loyalty should not require you to abandon your common sense.

Before you come running to defend every contradiction, recharge those brain batteries and engage your critical thinking. Ghanaian politics needs citizens who can question their own leaders, not political cheerleaders who mistake blind allegiance for intelligence.

The broader issue is the culture of political insults. It did not begin with Kevin Taylor, nor can it fairly be attributed to only one party or commentator.

A political party is not a family, and a president is not above scrutiny. Supporters of every party should be willing to acknowledge mistakes, demand evidence, and hold leaders accountable.

Your ultimate loyalty should be to Ghana—not to Mahama, the NDC, or any other political personality.

Mahama’s remarks in New York deserve fair and careful examination. His references to being insulted, voted out of office, and later returned to power raise a legitimate question: did they reflect a commitment to national reconciliation, or suggest that grievances from past political battles remain unresolved?

Losing an election and facing public criticism are part of democracy and public service. Returning to power, however, creates a responsibility to serve all citizens, including those who opposed you. The presidency must never become a platform for settling personal or political scores.

If Mahama is committed to healing Ghana’s divisions, that commitment should be evident in his words and actions. His treatment of critics and opponents, as well as the enforcement of the law, must reflect fairness, consistency, and respect for due process.

Public accountability is not an attack on the presidency; it is essential to democratic governance.

Responding to criticism with humility and ensuring that institutions act impartially can strengthen public trust and advance national reconciliation.

In the end, Ghana needs leaders humble enough to listen, institutions disciplined enough to follow due process, and citizens courageous enough to choose reconciliation over revenge.

And if his conduct was simply a matter of exercising his freedom of expression, why did his situation require so much political attention?

The questions become even more serious when we consider the allegations surrounding the judicial proceedings. Why was the entire bench changed, and what circumstances led to the eventual outcome of his case? Ghanaians deserve a clear explanation rather than being expected to accept every development without scrutiny.

Wo gyimi papa! You cannot expect people to overlook these contradictions simply because the individual involved appears to enjoy political protection.

Mahama cannot stand before Ghanaians preaching accountability, respect for institutions, and the rule of law while leaving legitimate questions about the treatment of politically connected individuals unanswered.

If an ordinary Ghanaian makes similar statements, will that person receive the same level of protection, attention, and consideration? Or does the law suddenly become flexible when the individual involved is perceived to be politically useful?

That is the double standard many Ghanaians are questioning.

This is not about denying anyone their constitutional rights. It is about demanding consistency, transparency, and equal treatment under the law.

If national security protection was justified, explain why. If the judicial process was properly conducted, make the circumstances clear. And if the government insists that nobody is above the law, then it must demonstrate that principle through its actions.

Mahama cannot demand that Ghanaians trust the system while refusing to address the questions that undermine that trust.

The Ghanaian people deserve answers, not political theatrics.

His persistent attacks against Asantes raise serious questions about the agenda behind his rhetoric. Why is so much of his energy directed toward one particular Akan group? Is the objective to provoke resentment among other Akan communities, create unnecessary ethnic tensions, and turn brothers against brothers?

The danger of this kind of politics is that it deliberately shifts attention away from national development and toward ethnic hostility. Instead of encouraging unity among Akans and Ghanaians as a whole, it promotes suspicion, division, and antagonism.

And for what purpose? To create an environment in which certain political interests can advance their agenda while ordinary Ghanaians are distracted by tribal disagreements?

If there is indeed a political arrangement behind these attacks, those responsible must understand that Ghana’s ethnic communities are not political pawns. Asantes, Bonos, Akuapems, Akyems, Fantes, and the other Akan communities have their own histories, identities, and contributions to Ghana. No political operative should be allowed to manufacture hostility between them for partisan advantage.

And Mahama must answer for the political culture surrounding his camp. If he genuinely believes in national dialogue and national unity, then that commitment must extend to the people being targeted by individuals who appear politically aligned with his interests.

You cannot preach national unity with one hand while tolerating rhetoric that divides communities with the other.

Asantes are not enemies of other Akans, and other Akans are not enemies of Asantes. Our differences should never become instruments for political manipulation.

Ghana belongs to all of us, and no political agenda is worth sacrificing the unity of our people

Maybe Kevin Taylor had that in mind when he said what he said. Ghana has been enslaved by NPP and NDC. We don`t seem to have our own minds anymore. Anyone who supports the NDC will defend them no matter what. the same thing applies to those who support the NPP.
