There must be a reason why this building was being put up to house all vice presidents. But alas it has suffered from the usual NPP/NDC politics of non continuation of projects started by one regime. Currently the original purpose for putting up the building can no longer be achieved because the site is surrounded by a number of high rise buildings which will not augur well for its security. Maybe the original purpose can be changed for the building to be used by any of the government agencies. Another sad story of inability to continue projects.

The question the average Ghanaian should ask is, before this building, where do we house our vice presidents? When Kufuor was putting up the Jubilee House, we heard all the stupid noises coming from the camp of NDC describing the building as "Unnecessary" because the average Ghanaian is hungry. Mills who took over the presidency from Kufuor went further by saying that he will turn the building into a chicken coop, but faith have other plans for him.

My point is, why did NDC conceive the idea of putting up a residence for the vice-President, and is the average Ghanaians now satisfied having his/her belly full?

Also, as this building has been abandoned, where does the vice-President stay? Our leaders should think before acting because without thinking, the entire body suffers.

Prior to ex-president Kufour's premonition to build Jubilee House did Ghana not have the castle as the presidential home? So it made every sense for those who have known NPP thinking and habits to question what could be next for a vice-presidential residence. Of course NPP dummies and sheep without capacity to think for themselves could not be expected to question orders from above.

But lo and behold, the NPP could not continue with the building of the vice presidential residence because the contract was not initiated, negotiated and signed by an NPP administration where taxpayer monies are easily stolen through inflated project cost and percentages are grafted for NPP use and benefit.

Mahama was returned to power to complete all these projects and put them to good use for the benefit of the citizens.
Why should Mahama rush to build a cathedral pledged to an individual’s God but not even started apart from a hole in the ground for over $95 million?
Why should he even look at Agenda 111 hospitals most of which have not even been started? Who completed the hospitals and CHIP compounds started b4 Jan 2017? Who knocked down the La Hospital and left it in heap of rubbles?

Our institutions are weak and the political leadership is authoritarian and wicked towards the citizens. Mahama came with his promise to reset the country and recover the loot but almost 2 years into his Presidency not a single person was prosecuted for looting and to jail. ORAL is literally speaking dead. Ghana we need a new political leadership. Neither the NDC nor NPP can take us to higher heights. The two parties come into power to scratch each others back. I hope the various Civil Societies in Ghana will demand an in-depth account of the resources which went into this so called Vice-President's residence project.
