According to Bagbin, official searches at the court registry confirmed that four substantive cases are pending before the courts.

“Official searches at the registry of the courts indicate that as many as four substantive cases are pending before the courts on narcotic-related matters which are the subject of the motion, and about 21 persons are standing trial,” he said.

The first case is Republic v Mercy Nneli Nyaji, Collins Yaw Antwi, James Donkor, James Osei-Frimpong alias Royal and Frank. Bagbin said Royal and Frank are at large, while the accused persons are facing four counts.

“The first is the Republic versus Mercy Nneli Nyaji, Collins Yaw Antwi, James Donkor, James Osei-Frimpong alias Royal, who is at large, and Frank, also at large. That is the first case here. They have four counts alleged against them, and the summary of the case is also attached,” he disclosed.

The second case is Republic v Francis Amanor, Frank Aduboahen, Togbe Agbeti, Andrews Tetteh Amponsah, Daniel Laryea and Helena Ekua Denkyi. They are facing three counts.

The third case involves Desmond Koranteng alias Paul Kweku Yeboah alias Biggs, Mussa Attah alias Kromo, Kweku Okyere, Jessica Hartog and Jos Leijdekkers alias Bolle Jos.
