I admire Ronaldo a lot. I have followed his career when it took off some two decades and some ago. He is your consummate, quintessential athlete. His discipline and vision have earned him both a cult following and a place in soccer history. I understand Ronaldo's frustration today
But the source of that frustration, his entitled ego, while justifiable in his own eyes, is the source of and will be the beginning of his end.

Regrettably, the opposite should be the case; a long distinguished career coming to its climax in the most respectable manner possible, with universal acclamation, devoid of entitled, self-serving hubris.

Sadly, the man has failed to grasp the opportunity presented to exit honorably when THE APPLAUSE IS LOUDEST, and insists on writing history to suit his ego only.

You have potentially ruined the very thing that you so desperately seek because you seek it so desperately.

Respect is earned. You must never seek to impose it. You must never be seen to seek to impose it.

You People should learn to stop telling people what they should do and not to do, atleast the least you can do is to respect one's decision. That decision to retire or not is solely his and no one else. You don't understand the game more than he do, this kind of behaviour criticising every aspect of human actions or inaction is purely witchcraft. It's about time people refrain from such uncultured criticism. Besides he alone decided to play football at his pre professional career and it's still the same way he alone will decide as and when he deems it fit to hang his boot. You can only share your thoughts devoid of personal attack on his person. That is disrespect to his person. Ask yourself, has anyone ever decide for you when to urinate and when not to?. Or did anyone decided for you when to visit a wash room to ease yourself. So folks some decision are sole prerogative to the one who must exercise it and not the observers. Stop taking people's right trying to teach them what to do.
