It is a no holds bared interview. Sakyi Addo asked thorough questions sometimes nodding the head when the answers were revealing from the ex head of state. On the execution of Afrifa we recall the Daily Graphic report on the JJ Rawlings trial that Afrifa advised and warned Gen Acheampong to quickly dispatch Rawlings to avert further exposes coming out from the Rawlings pronouncement during his trial on the abortive May 15 coup which making him popular. Afrifa's warning letter was well published. While Afrifa was resting at his home town at Krobo near Mampong the June 4th pusche was staged and Rawlings was rescued. He then became a target of the execution for probably suggesting to Acheampong to dispatch this junior officer who was causing waves at the time. Otherwise collecting money from western organisations to counter Acheampong's union government campaign and diverting the money to hijack Dr Paa Willie's party was not enough ground to kill him like that. On the whole however JJ Rawlings trust in Sakyi Addo to talk about the sordid deed is commendable. One other person he confided in such telling revelations was KSM.
